17 April 2020: The Department of Science and Technology Region 10 office donated 354 sacks of 10-kilos rice for the families of Brgy. Cauyunan in Opol, Misamis Oriental. The assistance was spearheaded by Regional Director Alfonso Alamban, CESO IV, and Engr. Junelyn Louvena Ruiz, Provincial Science and Technology Director of Misamis Oriental. The goods were turned over to Samdhana, represented by Deputy Exec. Director Erwin Quinones, and to Datu Romeo Gican, gaup head of Cauyunan and a Brgy. Kagawad. The Tribal Council in cooperation with the BLGU facilitated the distribution of the rice to the families. Cauyunan is part of the Dulangan Unified Ancestral Domain, one of the partners of Samdhana in the #ICON Project.
