Pete N Wood is Director of Green Gecko, a conservation and development consultancy. He has lived and worked in Indonesia for 10 years and, before that, worked in UK and West Africa. He has done most of the jobs that a conservation-development NGO does, including program development, forest conservation project management, communications and data management, ecological surveys, and local NGO capacity building. His main concern remains finding a balance between economic development, human rights and conservation, and between time spent diving, bird watching, working, and with his family.
